Today I had hoped to bake German Soft Pretzels. No such luck. I'll have to try to tackle that endeavor tomorrow hopefully.
I did get out for my walk, albeit short because of the cold temperatures. Picked up some challah bread , chocolate brownie bread, and wheat bread. Each loaf is small... so really my kitchen isn't being invaded by bread loaves.
And now, I sit here, contemplating the cooking of dinner, and just feel very tired.
I've felt tired all day.
And it's Friday night...and I'm out of soda. That, dear Internet, is traggic.
But I'm making Big Plans for my husband and I to go out on a few dates next week, as my mother in law flies in on Sunday which means she'll babysit and we'll.get.to.go.out.alone!

Egads, it is cold! My daughter and I went out to check the mail, and she wanted to continue prancing around in the freezing cold. I finally had to pull a dramatic one on her and say, "Oh! I need to go in! I'm feeling SO SO SO SICK!!!" Which of course resulted in returned drama from her, but I didn't care... it was COLD out there!
The most feared hyphenated word in the english language for me is "Mother-in-Law" AAAHHHHHHHH cover your ears and eyes, OH THE PAIN!!!!!!!!!
The sick part of all that is that even though my ex-wife is dead, I still have in-laws because of my kids. At least I am finally free to speak my mind with them. I had previously been held back by wify dearest.
Hope yours is much better than mine was. Also hope you have fun on your dates. Let us all know if we can give you two 3 cheers. (if you are wondering why, see my Nov 2004 post, Get A Room - Oh you already did.
Still no luck on the yeast???? I would make a meal out of that chocolate brownie bread..yummm. AND MENTIONING SODA ON YOUR BLOG??? Not nice, my friend. Hmmph.
I have a date night scheduled for next week, too! Just one though...I'm going to be one year older. Phooey. Oh well, it's an excuse to go to our favorite restaurant and see a movie. :D
